Good pizza in Philly?
So we moved to Philadelphia in May from that noted pizza capital (ha) of Columbus, Ohio, and I am sad to say that we have yet to find a standout slice in town. Does anyone have any recommendations?

mkania: I don't know if this will help, as most below are pie-only, but ...
Marra's: 1734 Passyunk Ave.; 215-463-9249
Pietro's: (pies only) 1714 Walnut Street; 215-733-0675
Tacconelli's: (pies only; must reserve pizzas a day in advance) 2604 East Somerset Street; 215-425-4983

I like Joe's Pizza, on 16th Street just north of Market. It's no Lombardi's, but it's decent, and you can get it by the slice.

Joe's is decent but my choice is NYPD on 11th between Sansom and Walnut. Again, it's not amazing but you can at least call it PIZZA.
