Serious Eats in Harlem
Hey Ed (and everyone),
Do you have any experience with the Haitian and Dominican food up in Harlem? Up by 125th there are West Indies food joints on every corner, and I'd love to try some authentic island fare, but I have no idea where to start!

Try a Jamaican place called Yvonne Yvonne. I'll get the address for you.
Yvonne not only has her restaurant, she also has a great Jamaican food truck parked outside New York Hospital at 68th and York, I believe.
Sandy's Lechoneria on 116th and Third (It may be First Avenue, I'm getting old) is a really good Puerto Rican/Dominican restaurant. I always get the pork chop or the roast pork sandwich, but everything I've had there has been very good. Sandy's is a real neighborhood gathering place and an institution in East Harlem.
