Craft, New York
Have you ever noticed the (very cool, very nice) tables at Craft are so large you need to shout across them to your guests?
The acoustics are good, the music great (right now they're playing Charles Mingus with Eric Dolphy), and the food's a little fussy (like the wait-staff) but nice.

I've only been to the Craft in Las Vegas at the MGM. It's not bad, but it seems like the wait staff are nicer in Vegas... but I've already broken the rules: What happens in Vegas...

You know, I just heard there's a Vegas location. It kind of makes me less interested in them. I'm mean, I like ambition, but Craft is actually starting to *feel* ambitious.

I went to Craftsteak last night. Colicchio is very ambitious. The steak was terrific, and it's the only steakhouse I know of in NY where you can get steak that's been dry-aged up to sixty days. I had an amazing piece of Kobe beef last night.

Tom is also opening several more 'wichcrafts in Manhattan. I'm crazy about the toasted gruyere and caramelized onions on rye, but I think he may be overextending himself.
A foodie friend from London visited Craftsteak in Vegas recently and was not happy: indifferent food, very pricey.
