Annie: One name says it all. Di Fara. Get thee to Di Fara Pizza. That's what's good to eat there. I'll let Ed answer as to sushi options.

There is of course the justifiably famous DiFara's, one of the country's great pizzerias. There's also a great fruit market, The Orchard, on Coney Island Avenue. My friend Josh Ozersky, who I posted about today, lives there, so I will ask him.
