Anyone tried it? Whaddya think?

Greek Yogurt-tell me about it

Top of my list of foodie things to do in 2008 (hopefully January, 2008) is to try Greek yogurt. I've been seeing the name pop up in different places and was wondering just what is so good (or bad) about it. What brand should I go for? Is it good to eat with other foods, like regular yogurt or cottage cheese is with fruits and granolas?

I'd appreciate any words of wisdom!

If you can't get FAGE yogurt, then substitute with....

1 quart of good quality whole milk yogurt. Strain in cheesecloth for 3 hours. It will taste just the same. Creamy, tart, rich, smooth cheese-like yogurt.

What is your fav brand of yogurt?

Fage & Kashi

when I look in everyones shopping carts All i see is Fage this and Fage that...

Heck I had never heard of fage? what makes it so different from reg yogurt?

NYC: Yogurt Search

I saw a TV show sometime ago featuring a small local shop run by Eastern European who sold, amongst other things, homemade yogurt. The shop was located somewhere in the Lower east Side , NYC. The yogurt is supposed to be phenomenal and its been done nonstop for about 100 years since the first batch was produced. I was wondering if anyone knows about this shop (name and address)? I would love to go and have a taste of this yogurt but cant remember the name or address. All I can recall is the way they made the yogurt and how amazingly delicious it looked.
Thanks.
