Are you sick of winter? What is your ideal summertime meal?
I love the Northeast, but I love it more in the summer. The cold weather and grey skies have gotten me down lately. I miss grilled hot dogs on buns, mac salad, corn on the cob and tomatoes from the garden.

Yes, I know that summer's over, but summer produce is hanging on. When I saw the inexorable march of apples and squash today, I bought two quarts of blueberries, two pounds of aji (seasoning ) peppers, and four pounds of red bell peppers. How are you facing the changeover to fall and winter foods?

I love the fruits of summer, when they are in season. Peach pies, plum tarts, cherry cobblers, watermelon salads.,etc. How do you eat your summertime fruit? Did your family have a fabulous recipe you ate every summer when you were a kid?
