Organic Seeds for the Vegetable Garden
I'm wondering if anyone has recommendations for where to get seeds for a vegetable garden, preferably organic and/or heirloom varieties. We just rotated our second set of veggies in for the summer which we got from starts from Seattle Tilth, but now I'm starting to think ahead to the fall.
Grapes, do you prefer seeds or seedless?
I'll eat both as along as it's a good-tasting grape. However, I'm always a little embarrassed when eating seeded grapes in public...I never know how to discretely spit out the seeds as I'm not crazy about chewing & eating them. Do you eat seeds & all? What's the best tasting grape out there? I rarely eat them as is but like them mixed with other fresh fruit. What do you do with grapes?
What dishes can you put flaxseeds in?
i know you can't heat them too much....
Nutty, crunchy tiny little seeds...
Those poppy, sesame, sunflower kernal & shelled pumpkin seeds add eye appeal & a nutty, crunchy goodness. The seeds are found sprinkled on breads & salads, mixed in baked goods, added to stir-frys & salad dressings. I like lemon poppy seed muffins, add sunflower & pumpkin kernals to trail-mix----what recipes or foods do you like this added nutty crunch?
