Potluck thanksgiving help!
Hey all. My roommate and I are hosting a 20+ friends thanksgiving on Sunday (prethanksgiving cuz some friends can't go see family) and it's a potluck and we've gotten great responses about people bringing side dishes and desserts. We have one oven, which will most likely be roasting the turkey.
My question to you all is how to keep things warm until we're ready to eat! Does a turkey need to rest a bit after roasting, which would free up our oven space to re-heat some casseroles and stuffing, etc? What's the best way to orchestrate this? We told people to come over at 12 figuring we'd eat soon after. Is there any kind of formula for this? Help! Thanks!
What to bring to an Thanksgiving Pot Luck...in the office.
My office has decided that it would be nice to have a Thanksgiving Pot Luck. Bringing dessert would be easiest, but I really wanted to find a good main dish to bring (that isn't an entire turkey) that won't put people to sleep.
The twist is that we only have a toaster oven and a microwave to heat things up in, so I am also leaning toward something that would be tasty at room temperature. Any suggestions?
Potluck theme: "Culinary Intoxication"
I'm going to a potluck next Friday with the theme "Culinary Intoxication" (give us a break--we're college students!). The food doesn't have to be literally "intoxicating" per se, but it needs to include alcohol in part of the cooking process. I almost always bring dessert to potlucks, so I'd like to switch it up and bring a savory dish. Any good suggestions for (preferably vegetarian) potluck-appropriate dishes with alcohol? Thanks!!
Pot Luck Help, please!
I am attempting to organize my first-ever pot luck at my house, sometime before Xmas, and I have never hosted anything before. Does anyone have any good ideas for food/drinks/activities/anything else that might help?

No assignments make potlucks a bit of an adventure. How will you lock in your reputation as a tremendous cook the next time everyone gathers for a block or tailgating party? What's your crowd-size dish speciality?
