Making pickles question...ASAP help!
I want to throw down some kosher dills....can I use the seedless cukes as the pickling cukes arent in yet?

Pennsylvania Dutch cuisine
I'm heading down to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania for my great-aunt's 100th birthday! I haven't been down in about ten years, when my grammy died, and I was thinking it will be nice to get re-acquainted with some of the regional specialties. (But not scrapple, LOL)
First and foremost, I want to pick up a nice big sack of John Cope's toasted dried sweet corn so that I can make stewed corn or just eat it out of the bag.
Since it's not new year's day, I guess I won't be getting any pork and sauerkraut, but definitely lots of pickles and chow-chow are in order. I remember we used to get fasnachts - I think they're like doughnuts, but I'm not sure.
What else can I try (or re-try)?

Where to find Branston Pickles in the US?
On a lovely trip to Prague this past November, my mother and grandmother and I stopped into an Irish pub (Cafferty's, I believe) for some sort of food just to keep us going before we got back to the hotel.
We had a GREAT Irish cheddar cheese sandwich, with what I now know are Branston Pickles.
After claiming I was actually going to figure this out, I now have! Which moves me on to the next part of this adventure--finding them.
Does anyone know if Branston Pickles are sold anywhere around the metropolitan D.C. area? I can see that they're web-available, which will be my next stop. But I figured if anyone would know, you guys would.

Let's not forget the pickle!
Pickles come in endless varieties ranging in various degrees of sweet to sour flavor. We eat 'em straight out of the jar, decorate our sandwiches & even find uses for the pickle juice! I enjoy those small sweet gherkins myself. What's your pickle preference?
Pickles...refrigerate or not?
My gf likes her pickles at room temperature. So, we started having a conversation over dinner last night about whether pickles need to be kept in the refrigerator.
Do they?
