Food Obsessed?
I'm a new member of this site and I have to say, it's worked out as a beautiful outlet for me to partake in my food obsession. My poor boyfriend, who's of the (stupid) opinion that people should eat to live not live to eat, dealt with my constant talking about food/recipes/food shows/menues for SO long. He was really good about it and never complained, maybe because my love of cooking benefits him so much. Anyhow, for all of you out there who love food and consider yourself to be foodies, who do you talk about food with? Do they like hearing about food? Do they share your love and if so, what do you talk about- recipes. future dishes? Has this site helped?

from whom did you get the foodie bug ?
I was brought up in a family where the meals we very important ... a time when everybody got together and enjoyed eating ... this is where I got the bug .. I found having a good meal which everybody enjoyed the highlight of the day and as such use it in my life to reconnect with the family and wind down after a hard day at work ... as such eating and food is a very important part of my life ... how and why did you become a foodie .. ???
what does gourmet mean to you ?
the dictionary says " its a connoisseur of good food and drink" does it mean eating gourmet food or cooking gourmet food ?
so what a foodie then ? now I am confused..
what does it mean to you? which do you prefer ? is there a difference ? can you be one and not the other ?
