Breakfast for a Crowd: Any Ideas?
I need some ideas for breakfast that will feed 10 people. I would like to prepare something relatively simple that incorporates at least one fruit/vegetable to make it relatively healthy. What are your favorite breakfasts for a crowd?
Dinner party on a budget, no dishwasher. Can it be done?
Hi all -- New here and de-lurking to seek advice - I'm having 5 people over for dinner Sat night and need ideas on how to do a great and even somewhat semi-impressive menu on a budget in a tiny dishwasher-free apartment. Since this is my first time entertaining in this space, I'd be grateful for any advice, do's / don'ts, war stories, etc. Thanks
Challenge: Dinner Party for Picky Eaters
So I am in the spirit to host a dinner party for 8-10 to beat the winter blahs. However, this particular group of people has an extremely varied palate - some vegetarians, some fish allergies, some gourmet foodies, and some generally fussy eaters.
If presented with this challenge, what would your menu look like? Bonus points for creativity and flourish!
Favorite Recipes to dice up the party ?
Hey friends, i got to know some very cool recipes here at - Cocktail Recipes & which i think are the best when you want to throw an unforgettable cocktail party or simply spice up an ordinary evening.
What are your favorite recipes though & if anyone can suggest me a cool one to dice up my party on 31st ?
What are you taking to the party?
Are you attending a potluck at work, at church, at a friend's house? If so, what are you taking?
Would you rather cook or be the guest?
It's a 50/50 answer for me. I enjoy each aspect of being the cook...from the planning, shopping, preparing & offering the food prepared with love. On the other hand, accepting these same things from my host, is also very nurturing. Holiday time provides lots of food related entertaining situations. When do you like to be the cook? The guest? At specific meals or events?
Operation: Small dinner party
Myself and my roommate hare having two lovely ladies over for a casual dinner next Thursday I was wondering if anyone had suggestions as to what to make?
I know it's a pretty open ended question but any fun small dinner party idea would be greatly appreciated...
A recipe even better!
Thanks a million.....
Unexpected guests, do you feel the need to feed?
Do you have friends or family stop by at odd times or have dinner guests show-up with "an extra"? Offered food makes guests feel welcome & eases conversation & so often nowdays, a part of every home gathering. Are you one of those who always have hors d'oeuvres in the freezer (think Martha Stewart)? Always have more than enough when planning get-togethers? Me---I uncomfortable with drop-ins & ill prepared with extra goodies on hand! How do you handle feeding unexpected guests?
Question of the Day: What's your favorite appetizer to prepare for company/potlucks?
Mine is rumaki. Who can resist bacon?
What to do when faced with fairly inedible party food?
Do you eat it anyway? Pretend to like it? I am just not a good liar that way...
