Super-Cheap Duck Eggs!

My CSA just sent out an email saying that this year they will be offering a limited supply of duck eggs at the astonishing price of $6/dozen!!! (Yes, my CSA hasn't started yet - I live in the Great White North; we're still pretty much stuck on rhubarb and asparagus.) I've only been privileged to try duck eggs once in my life - they were drizzled with truffle oil and OMG, it was a life-altering experience.

However - what am I to do with lots of duck eggs? Sure, I could just get a half-dozen, but at that price I want to stock up, since lord knows if I'll ever be able to afford them again (especially if I am indeed doomed to a life of data entry, which at this point is looking ever-more likely)! I want to make sure that I showcase the flavor, without burying it (I tend to be a bit of a flavor-burier, mostly because a) I'm a spice addict, and b) I'm a one-pot meal queen). Of course, hard-boiled, fried, and scrambled are in the works, but I wanted to see what kinds of lovely ideas all of you might have as well!

What in the world can i do with a dozen eggs?

Under normal circumstances a dozen or so eggs wouldn't stand a chance in my kitchen, but do to the fact that I'm undergoing a renovation and the only appliances I have are a microwave, toaster oven and grill I'm quite perpelxed over what to do with them. They need to be used up pretty quickly (they've been sitting in the fridge for a week already), my neighbor is letting me borrow her kitchen while she's away for Passover so I can always whip something up then but that's in another week and I'd rather not wait that long. Any ideas?

Eggs in cheesecake

Several cheesecake recipes that I have provide for from 2-4 eggs. What effect does adding more eggs have in making a cheesecake?

What to do with 24 leftover egg yolks?

My daughter-in-law just got done making a wedding cake for someone and called to ask what she could do with the leftover egg yolks that she didn't need for the recipe. I told her to freeze them (but for what I still am not sure) until I could give her an answer.

Anybody have any ideas? Or should she just dump them in the name of heart health?

Hard-cooked eggs that aren't... is there a fix?

Okay. I know I can count on my virtual friends at SE to give me some advice without laughing at me. Well, without laughing too hard, anyway ;-)

Yesterday, I hard-cooked some eggs for deviling. But today, when I went to peel them, it turned out they were somewhere just above soft-cooked. (I thought I did what I always do, but I might have used my small simmer burner instead of the regular one. I can't remember.)

MY QUESTION TO YOU: I'm thinking I can treat them as if they're just "par-cooked" and repeat the cooking process to finish them off.

So what say you, oh demi-gods and -goddesses of all things food?

do you simply enjoy hard-boiled or soft-boiled eggs? or perhaps you like them scrambled or do you prefer them sunny side up instead. i personally prepare only the egg whites and "poach" them in vinegar w/ garlic powder, salt, pepper, basil. i serve w/ salad and a side of ketchup. how about you?

Question of the Day: How do you want those eggs done?

Over easy? Sunnyside up? Scrambled?
