Good roadfood in the Harbor Country of Michigan?

Headed to a region I've never been to, the Harbor Country of Michigan, in the southwestern part of the state, along Lake Michigan. Looking for a good breakfast/lunch spot along the way. Happy to pull off I-94 (which presumably has only chain fast food) for a detour.

Cooking in and around Grand Rapids, MI

My husband is interested in a job opportunity that may mean a move to Grand Rapids, MI (or the surrounding area). Can anyone provide insights into the fresh/organic food scene there? I see that there's a farmers market...but would love some more info about access to good food.
