First time in New York
Im going to go to new york next week. I am staying near madison square garden, any ideas for good restaurants? Im up for most foods but i really would like to know a good italian place, a good greek place and a good pizza place, but if anyone knows of any other cuisines that are good, im pretty open minded. help please
Greek menu suggestions with halloumi cheese
I'd like to cook up a Greek-based birthday meal for a good friend that features a relatively light menu that includes Halloumi cheese. Can anyone suggest a few possibilities for me to whip up? I'd also like to do this in their house, since they don't cook and their place needs to be enriched by cooking fragrances, so it can't use up every pot and dish they own. Simple and easy and wonderful is my goal. Any suggestions for easy Greek dishes are much appreciated.
Greek Yogurt-tell me about it
Top of my list of foodie things to do in 2008 (hopefully January, 2008) is to try Greek yogurt. I've been seeing the name pop up in different places and was wondering just what is so good (or bad) about it. What brand should I go for? Is it good to eat with other foods, like regular yogurt or cottage cheese is with fruits and granolas?
I'd appreciate any words of wisdom!
