Sushi For Hina Matsuri
Maki Itoh says, "Tomorrow, March 3rd, is Momo no sekku or Peach Day in Japan. Peach blossoms usually start blooming around this time, signifying the coming of spring. It’s also the day for hina matsuri, the Doll Festival or Girls’ Festival." She then suggests making two kinds of pretty, delicate sushi in girly colors that match those traditionally associated with the festival (yellow, pink, white and green), the Hamaguri-zushi (clam sushi) and the Smoked salmon temari zushi (ball-shaped sushi).
