No Oven Required: Fluffernutter S'mores You Can Make Indoors

Though summer has ended, I still have s'mores on the brain. Even though I'm not a passionate marshmallow devotee, it's hard not to feel a nostalgic pull s'more-ward. But there was also another item on my dessert bucket list. Despite my peanut butter obsession, I had never tasted a Fluffernutter. Why not combine the two treats?

Serious Heat: Combining Chile and Chocolate

If you haven't ever heightened your chocolate with a tiny blast of chile powder, then let me convince you why you should. You don't want to overdo the chile flavor—just use a touch of spiciness to bring out the rich chocolaty flavor. The sweetness of the chocolate floods the mouth at the start with just a splash of heat coming right at the end, like in this Spicy S'mores recipe, where a blast of cayenne transforms the chocolaty summer camp treat into a gooey, spicy bit of heaven.

New Non-Savory Goldfish Flavors: Vanilla, Cinnamon, and S'mores

My mom and I thought it would be a normal trip to the supermarket as we wandered the aisles seeking out our usual sustenance. But then. We stumbled upon Goldfish Grahams, the newest addition to Pepperidge Farm's Goldfish cracker line. I knew I had to grab a few bags of this stuff for the office. This is a twist on the traditional s'more in honor of Peep Week and the glut of Peeps in stores everywhere. The s'meeps taste just like s'mores with an extra crunch of sugar and a happy dose of color. Consider making these as doing the rest of the world a favor. What's going to happen to all the Peeps that aren't bought and consumed/melted/frozen/mauled during the Easter season? Do they go to the old Peeps farm over in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania? Are they secretly plotting to take over the world in their Peeps lair? The...

Microwaveable S'mores Maker

Either legend or fact has it that the first written record of s'mores dates back to 1927. But chances are, they did it the old-fashioned way back in the Roaring Twenties—with a twig and a roaring fire. Thank goodness for modern technology. This handy little gadget microwaves two perfect s'mores in 30 seconds. A water tank heats them through evenly (no more gushy marshmallow and cold, hard chocolate), and the arms hold the top graham cracker in place so there's no slip and slide. And it's dishwasher safe; although, chances are, you'll still get pretty messy....
