Dinner Tonight: Squash and Mushroom Hominy

I'll be honest—I don't eat much hominy. I have nothing against it, it's just not in my weekly rotation. When I do have it, it's usually in a fine bowl of Mexican posole. This combination of summer squash, corn, and beans is nutritious, filling, and fast. More

Dinner Tonight: Red Posole Stew with Chicken

Not the posole in question, but probably good, too. [Photograph: evelynishere on Flickr] For some reason, posole was the New Year's dish of 2010. I read about it no less than three times—in the San Francisco Chronicle, in TimeOut Chicago,... More

Dinner Tonight: Chicken and Chili Soup with Beans and Hominy

Serious Eats Nick Kindelsperger 1 comment

This started out as a noble attempt at a white chili, the somewhat healthy cousin to red chili. But somewhere along the line I realized I really hated white chili. Chili to me is red chilies, beef, and not... More
