Healthy & Delicious: All-American Chili

Loaded with beans and vegetables, each sizable serving also contained about two or three ounces of hearty meat—enough to get some with every bite, but not so much I felt like I was eating a burger. The spice was dead-on, as well. A combination of chili powder, diced jalapeño pepper, and hot Italian turkey sausage punched everything up without overwhelming the other flavors. I served the dish with cornbread muffins, the way nature intended. More

Grilling: Bifteki

Over the summer, I raved about a batch of keftedes, the Greek meatballs, I had put together. I didn't think they could get much better, but alas, I was wrong. When you stuff that tasty Greek meat mixture with some feta cheese and grill it, the awesomeness meter totally cranks up, plus they get a new name—bifteki. More

Cook the Book: Beef Jerky

Dinner Tonight: Yam Neua (Grilled Beef Salad)

I've been taking something of a Thai break. I exhausted the overly sweet noodle dishes a few years ago and figured it just wasn't my thing. But I've found my way back in through Thai salads. The mix of extreme spice, acid, fat, and sour is completely addicting, especially during the warm summer months. I've been looking for a good Thai beef salad, and was intrigued by this one from NPR.
