Food Network's New Wii Video Game

Food Network is releasing a new video game, Cook or Be Cooked, which will hit stores on November 3. With more than 30 recipes developed by the expert chefs of the Food Network Kitchens, the game delivers a truly authentic food experience from prep to plate. Throughout the game, players receive tips, feedback and reviews from Food Network's Vice President of Marketing and The Next Food Network Star judge, Susie Fogelson, and Food Network Kitchens chef Mory Thomas. Personally, my favorite video game cuisine is still the red-and-white-spotted mushroom power-ups in Mario Brothers. Watch a preview of the video game, after the jump....

'The Next Food Network Star' Runner-Up Jeffrey Saad Gets His Own Show Too, Sorta

Earlier this month, The Next Food Network Star season five finale shocked some people when Bel-Air real estate agent Jeffrey Saad lost to stay-at-home Texas mom (and almost eerily Sandra Lee-reminiscent) Melissa d'Arabian. But based on the fourth season's results (when runner-up Adam Gertler landed a show in addition to the actual winner Aaron "Big Daddy" McCargo, Jr.) it's no big shocker that Saad wound up with his own little show himself. The Spice Smuggler is just online—at least for now. The name was clearly a riff on the The Ingredient Smuggler, Saad's pilot for his hopeful show in TNFNS's final episode. (Food Network was not going to let the opportunity to use smuggler slip!) In each of the...

Olympic Figure Skater Brian Boitano in a New Food Network Series

Usually when Brian Boitano and ice are mentioned in the same sentence, it doesn't involve snow-cones and gelato. But the figure skater, who won a gold for the U.S. at the 1988 Winter Olympic Games, will have a daytime Food Network series starting August 23 at 1 p.m. called What Would Brian Boitano Make? In every unpredictable episode, Brian hosts get-togethers at his San Francisco home. With a humorous and knowledgeable approach to cooking, Brian puts his unique spin on irresistible dishes like Chicken Paella Burgers, Pear and Almond Crostata, Crab and Avocado Crostini, and Bourbon Bacon Apple Tarts.
