The galleries are filled with gorgeous pies this My Pie Monday! Check out what delicious creations fellow Slice'rs are cooking up in their home ovens.
Slice'r dhorst hosted a pizza making shindig up in Syracuse. Reaching into the mailbag, we have a complete slideshow of the pizza making and the members of the SE community that made it in from Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Pennsylvania, and around Upstate New York!
We're eleven pies deep this fine My Pie Monday. This week's collection includes some great looking pies including a wood-fired oven marinara and Margherita, an eggs benedict topped pizza, Aleppo pepper pies, and much, much more!
This is an I'll-have-one-of-everything week on My Pie Monday! There are some seriously delicious looking pies here. Get inspired and join in by sending us a picture of your homemade pizza.
Welcome back to My Pie Monday! There's a great group of pies here, folks! Norma and Jimmyg continue to explore the "epoxy method", Dmcavanagh gives the broiler a shot, and Thezaman makes some pizza bones that any dog (or master) would love.
Happy My Pie Monday! The hits keep coming this week with some real innovation in the topping department. Take for example dhorst's faux cremini mushroom sausage seasoned with fennel and aleppo! And TXCriag1 took a chance on some cherry tomatoes in the smoker and met with great success. Get those two together and we could have some smoked faux cremini sausage.
Happy My Pie Memorial Monday! Hopefully lots of you are out firing up the wood fired oven, or making some space on the grill for pies. If you need some motivation or inspiration, take a quick trip through today's My Pie Monday gallery.
At last, My Pie Monday! There are some freakin' incredible looking pies this week. There's lots of evidence of Slice'rs helping Slice'rs via past inspiration, advice, and collaboration. Dmcavanagh, Jimmyg, and Norma427 put their heads together on some dough experiments and the results appear here. Adam took some tips from TXCraig1, who also was the source of topping inspiration for Atmast (who, by the way, is soliciting some pizza stone advice.) Imwalkin represents with the Aleppo, which I'm sure fellow addict Dhorst would greet with a big thumbs up. She and newcomer Mitch Birrittella sent in pics of some drool-worthy grilled pies. Scott D's Margherita being pulled from his newly finished wood fired oven is sure to induce some Slice'r envy. And just look at how beautiful JEL's squash blossom pie is. Amusebouche1 makes a eye-catching pie with zucchini and cured meats, and hogletboglet makes a damn good case for how crave-worthy a simple pepperoni pie can be. After all the fried pie talk last week, it's great to see Thezaman's montanara. And last, but not least, livrefreeorpie works a very near and dear regional ingredient onto his pie.
I'm filling in for Slice Queen Meredith this week and normally more work = less fun, but darned if you Slice'rs don't make this job easy. This week we've got fifteen pies on the menu. As usual, dmcavanagh comes through, this week with two pies! LLTODDJ and Zumicroom both give us their best Neapolitan stylings while nzmick brings a taste of Chicago to the other side of the globe. You'll find a Texan who likes salad on their pie (woulda never thought I'd see the day), more mushrooms than you can toss a crust at from amusebouche1, and roast chicken pie from billgraney that looks so good it could even convert this non-chicken-on-pizza eater.
Slicer dmcavanagh is conducting a summer long crushed tomato taste test. Here's the skinny on this noble undertaking from the man himself.
Today we've got a gorgeous potato and thyme pie from Scott D, a Pequod's-style deep dish pizza from FredipusRex, and a seriously delicious-looking pie from Pizzacommander's pizza party (why didn't we get an invite?)...But that's not all—Norma's working her milk kefir starter, Professorplum shares a nice Margherita, Patrick B made a ham, egg, and cheese pie, and there are more tasty pizzas from FoolishPoolish, Bartonkt, dmcavanagh, Tdpl, TScarborough, ESNY1077 , thearrogantchef, and first time MPM'r Soles.
This week's My Pie Monday is a doozy...we've got a pie from Scott Wiener topped with foraged ingredients from Central Park, a gorgeous skillet-broiler pie from Aya Kristen Alt, a look at dhorst's sourdough pizzas (with a bonus peek at what she's doing with her starter.) And that's just the beginning: thearrogantchef shares a nacho pizza, Jerry Young went Sicilian, and Norma made a Jim Lahey-inspired zucchini-topped pizza. Check out the slideshow for all these and more hunger-inducing homemade pizzas from TScarborough, I Dream of Pizza, Patrick B, Scott D, dmcavanagh, olsonmatt, and Carmine P.
Wow, it's raining pizzas! Quite an impressive collection of homemade pies from the Slice community this week. Welcome back to My Pie Monday, everyone!
Well, it may have been Thanksgiving last week, but Slice'rs didn't let that stop them from eating some delicious homemade pizza! (Though square_pie did try to combine the two.) On the menu: homemade fried panzerotti from dhorst, a spinach and artichoke pizza from bartonkt, a neo–New York pie from dmcavanagh, and more good stuff from Scott D., Adam Kuban, Tupper Cooks!, and TScarborough.

"@passion4pizza: If there's arugula, I'll be driving a salad bowl." —dmcavanagh, on "Garmin GPS Pizza Icon"...
"When 2 people share an appetizer with an odd number of items, each is too reserved to take the last one, so it goes back to the kitchen and someone from the wait staff gets a snack. :-)" —dmcavanagh on "Why an Odd Number of Appetizers?"
Every week on Slice, we talk to a pizza obsessed individual. If you've spent any time in the comments on our pizza site or in SE Talk, you probably know that dmcavanagh is certifiably mad for the crusty, saucy, cheesy stuff. Get to know him here!
