They spotlighted one instance on the Brooklyn Bridge, complete with a wooden card table for the jars of iced tea and Manchego cheese wedges. The story immediately had me thinking about public spaces across the country—where would I like to throw a dinner party? Even if it wasn't allowed? The Golden Gate Bridge immediately comes to mind, as does the pitcher's mound at Yankee Stadium. Or there's always the north rim of the Grand Canyon.
