The reasoning behind February 3rd's designation as National Carrot Cake Day probably had something to do with it also being National Carrot Day. Oh. If only we knew that two days ago. This cute video from body care company Yes to Carrots features animated, singing carrots telling you facts (and some non-facts) about carrots. But the video immediately reminded me of a cuter animation I first saw a few years ago featuring carrots singing in Korean. Did it inspire the later video, or are there only so many ways to draw anthropomorphic singing carrots? Watch the videos after the jump....

This tortoise just wants a little cherry tomato love! Why must its life be so hard? Because the spherical tomato refuses to stay put. But don't worry; the tortoise eventually indulges in a tomato feast thanks to its owner who holds the tomato in place. Since the video is soundless, I think someone needs to remix it so that every time the tortoise's mouth pokes the tomato further away, it plays the sound effect of an explosion. There's also the Benny Hill-ified version for some musical accompaniment. Watch the video after the jump....

Yusheng explains that the chain is having a promotion where for every NT$70 (about $2 USD) you spend, you get a scratch-off card with 1 to 5 points. When you collect 10 points, you can exchange them for a cellphone charm. If I lived in Taiwan, I'd be at Mister Donuts every day to collect all four....

Is it time to teach your pet a new trick? How about training your dog to hold really, really still and ignore its carnal desire to eat everything in sight as you stack hundreds of dog treats on its face and body? In this Japanese game show, food is continuously stacked before two dogs and a chimpanzee to see how long they can go before attacking their mountains of food. Torturous, but adorable!
