The reasoning behind February 3rd's designation as National Carrot Cake Day probably had something to do with it also being National Carrot Day. Oh. If only we knew that two days ago. This cute video from body care company Yes to Carrots features animated, singing carrots telling you facts (and some non-facts) about carrots. But the video immediately reminded me of a cuter animation I first saw a few years ago featuring carrots singing in Korean. Luckily, over the years, my preference for the most vibrant of the root vegetables has matured, making way for slow roasting, puréeing with ginger, or simply washing and eating with a container of hummus. Not only are carrots at their most orange this time of year, they're also at their cheapest--and sweetest. That sounds like music to my ears.
