Video: How To Make an Italian Hot Dog

After you've done fried a couple turkeys and born witness to deep-fried pepperoni, there aren't too many things that get thrown into a deep fryer that will shock you. Nevertheless, shocked is how I felt walking into Jimmy Buff's last week and watching them prepare a double Italian Hot Dog when Carey and I were touring around New Jersey in the Serious Eats Explorer (thanks Ford!). That would be two skinless franks, deep-fried until bursting, stuffed into a split loaf of "pizza bread" smeared with mustard, topped with fried onions and peppers, and fat disks of fried potato.

Appetites may change the way cooking apps could be created in the future. Instead of step-by-step photo instructions, the iPad app has video instructions shot from the viewpoint of the cook. Video: The Hatch Family of TLC's New 'Little Chocolatiers' Show

Can two dwarf chocolatiers produce 600 chocolate dice (bigger than they are) for a casino night party? Well now you can finally find out. On December 21, TLC will premiere Little Chocolatiers, a one-hour special about husband-and-wife little people Steve and Katie Hatch of Hatch Family Chocolates in Salt Lake City. After this first episode—where the two will run into some trouble when the shop's air conditioner malfunctions (drama!)—the show will continue as a six-part series in 2010. (Will TLC somehow find six other chocolatier dwarf couples? Unclear.) They haven't released any previews yet but Eat Me Daily dug up this three-minute video on the couple. You know you want to watch it....

Video: The Ross Sisters Sing About Solid Potato Salad

The Ross Sisters were a trio of singing, dancing, contortionist siblings who came to fame in the 1940s. What better way to celebrate the Fourth than by watching some of this great home-grown Texan talent sing about "solid potato salad"? For me, the words "solid potato salad" conjure up images of potato salad entrapped in quaking green Jell-o. Thankfully, there is no such thing. A quick search revealed that solid was a wartime expression for "great," or "good." They're cute, they've got matching outfits, and they can put their legs behind their heads. Plus, I really think their outfits would be the perfect thing to wear to a picnic, pigtails and all. The video starts out so sweet with...

In Videos: Señor Donut Skateboards, Wipes Out

Watching a giant human-sized doughnut skateboard is funny; watching a giant human-sized doughnut wipe out is funnier. Señor Donut is a character in the recently released movie Sex Drive, a tale of boy-meets-girl, except the boy has to dress up in a clunky doughnut outfit for his job at a pastry shop in the mall. Video after the jump....
