This wasn't an easy week at SEHQ. At all. We are still grieving over the loss of SE mascot and dear friend, the one and only Dumpling. Each week many of his fans (and he had many) looked forward to this Friday slideshow when we could share the best Dumpling photos of the week. It was always such a tough call—too many good ones!—and it pains me to think about not having this task anymore. Thankfully we have this heartfelt album of best-of-Dumpling moments created by Kenji to peruse whenever we feel the withdrawals. There are a few last Dumpling photos in here to share, along with snapshots of other SE happenings.
This week at the Serious Eats office, we...er, moved the Serious Eats office! After four years in Chelsea, we're now in Chinatown/Little Italy. We're loving the new neighborhood. Dumpling is a big fan too. (This post is 67% percent Dumpling—well, 75% if you count the double Dumpling slide twice.)
This week at headquarters, we roasted a half dozen lamb legs, met one of the cutest babies we've ever met (officially), hunted for the best ribs in Manhattan, and dressed up Dumpling in a grass skirt for Tiki Week.
