This week we snacked on leftovers from the edible Super Bowl stadium (yum, goal posts! AKA pretzel sticks), realized we could open a bar with our stocked liquor cabinet, and watched Dumpling act totally insane. More

This week at headquarters we ordered a bucket of 100 wings, consumed more blue cheese dressing than any group of humans ever should, and created a fictional Hug Bot creature for Dumpling when he whimpers and nobody's paying enough attention to him. (This usually happens around 4 p.m. when he's ready for his late afternoon walk.) More

This week at headquarters we celebrated the first Serious Eats baby! Well, technically he hasn't arrived yet but Alaina's due date is just over a month away, so that bun is getting pretty warm in the oven. Baby shower time! When Kenji was constructing his hacker version of Shake Shack's Double Shack Stack—a Meunster cheese-stuffed, deep-fried portobello mushroom atop the Shackburger, but in this case doubled—at the office this week, we gathered around as Robyn fearlessly took the first bite. Ouch! That oozy cheese blanket released from the crispy portobello burns! Her poor, defenseless tongue was crying tears of pain. And then we all decided to join the fun.
