It was a close race with some super tasty-looking and -sounding contenders, but the prevailing favorite of our first-ever Sweet Tweaks contest was candied bacon strips with a sprinkle of caramel popcorn bits. Last Friday we unveiled a new contest feature on Serious Eats called Sweet Tweaks. The gist: We give you a recipe, you tweak it, and the best tweak of the week wins a prize.
