'Ortine' on Serious Eats
We've written about Ortine's breakfast pizza before, but since that date, they've added new breakfast pizzas to their menu, including "Eggs in Purgatory" ($12).
Let me cut off the comments before they start: No, this doesn't much resemble real poutine, the Canadian dish of cheese curds and gravy over fries. But the Poutine & Eggs ($11) at Ortine in Prospect Heights is an excellent crock of brunch food: soft fingers of roasted skin-on potatoes doused in mushroom gravy, covered in cheese and eggs, and baked.
