Two weeks ago, Universal Studios Orlando announced the opening of a new Simpsons-themed area later this summer. While much of the area is still under construction, Fast Food Boulevard—home to Springfield favorites like Krusty Burger, Moe's Tavern, the Frying Dutchman, and more—opened last Saturday. Inside the Magic has loads of photos and videos from opening day.

Mario Batali is coming to Boston with his Otto-style pizza, except it won't be called Otto because of the Portland based mini-chain that is three strong in the Hub. The griddle/broiled pies will come from Babbo Pizzeria which is slated to be located in Boston's Seaport District.
Should we believe the rumor that Shake Shack, that beloved New York burger institution, is planning on opening a location in Chicago? Selfishly, we want the rumor to be true, if only so that we can be close to one of the restaurant's gloriously griddled burgers.
Tony Gemignani of pizza award-winning fame and the always-packed Tony's Pizza Napoletana is opening a deep dish place in North Beach, this Friday night. Nestled tidily on Vallejo off Columbus, a glowing neon sign reads "Capo's," subtly staking its claim in a neighborhood where authenticity, and quality, are prized about as highly as a good whiskey cocktail and a solid slice. Here's your first peek inside!
Nine words and a name piqued my pizza curiosity: Imported smoked buffalo mozarella, sliced lemons, and fresh basil. The Sorrentina. Another word immediately leapt to mind; Keste.

Restauranteur Scott Harris is never one to make small plans. So, though a doughnut shop should in theory be a stripped down project focused on the singular glory of fried dough, he upped the ante by opening two of them on the same day. Called Glazed and Infused, this mini doughnut chain will serve both cake and yeast versions, plus a few speciality items, like the Maple Bacon Long John.
Black Dog Gelato, which currently has just one location in the Ukrainian village, is getting ready to open a second location in Roscoe Village.
