'My Father's Daughter' on Serious Eats
Have you ever found yourself with an unexpected group of hungry guests and nothing planned for lunch? Well, you're not alone. Actress, country singer, blogger and new cookbook author Gwyneth Paltrow has found herself in the very same situation, proving that even celebrities find themselves in awkward spots. These Grilled Tuna Rolls from My Father's Daughter came into being as an impromptu summer lunch, when Paltrow found herself having to feed a crowd with just a few tuna steaks and a bag of hot dog buns on hand.
Last week Ed was invited to a cookbook launch party for Gwyneth Paltrow's My Father's Daughter. In attendance were none other than Jay-Z, Jerry Seinfeld, and Alex Rodriguez of New York Yankees fame. Great set of friends, right? When asked about the food, though, Ed mentioned that the Duck Ragu was quite good, which made me want to investigate this recipe for myself.
In short, the answer is yes. Celebrity aside, My Father's Daughter is filled with really wonderful recipes—healthy, for the most part, but largely accessible, everyday food that most of us would be more than happy to enjoy.
