Happy Hanukkah! Recipes to Celebrate

Tonight at sundown Hanukkah begins, which means a whole lot of latkes will be fried in the next week. Ed hosted his latke-frying party for family last weekend (right after Thanksgiving, now that's impressive). The sizzling oil represents the oil used to light the menorah. FYI: Giraffe Milk Is Kosher

Shavuot, or the Jewish festival of the first fruits, began Monday. Kosher dairy products like cheese or cheesecake are big on this holiday, and this year, giraffe milk can be too. Veterinarians at the Ramat Gan Safari Park near Tel Aviv took a giraffe milk sample, which then curdled, as required by religious law to be deemed kosher.... More
