Say hello to Ida Yu, one of our newest summer interns. She's got a serious sweet tooth and has been called "crunchy" on more than one occasion. She takes it as a compliment, though, and wears her local food bumper stickers with pride.
'Interns' on Serious Eats
Say hello to Sam Bresnick, Serious Eats summer editorial intern and bread pudding obsessive. Actually, he's kind of an everything obsessive, which is why we knew he'd be a great fit. Get to know him better after the jump.
Give a great big hello to Amalia, one of our summer editorial interns. Her love for Chinese food knows no bounds—even in the confines of the mall food court. Which is, of course, how we knew she'd fit in perfectly with team Serious Eats.
Give a warm welcome to Lauren, one of our summer editorial interns! She's a sandwich fanatic with a soft spot for pho, Haribo gummy bears, and Popcorners. Oh, and did we mention the girl can cook?
Flamin' Hot Cheetos, proscuitto and cooking dinner at home: these are a few of our new summer intern Andrea's favorite things.
Say hello to one of our newest summer interns, Ari! She loves eating Marshmallow Fluff out of the jar, breakfast (or brunch) is her favorite meal of the day, and she named her dog after clam chowder.
Say hello to one of our newest interns, Linnea! Her Swedish upbringing helped turn her into the serious eater she is today (but don't give her lutfisk). She's a big fan of oatmeal, shakshuka, and Early Grey ice cream.
Say hello to one of our newest interns, Craig! He's not that picky when it comes to the perfect meal, as long as it involves friends and wine. But don't give him durian; he's given up on trying to like that. (We don't blame you, Craig.)
Say hello to one of our newest interns, Lily! She first realized she was a serious eater during her 8th grade computer class, when she'd spend her free time making Powerpoint presentations of food photos while everyone else played Neopets. We totally get you, Lily.
Say hello to one of our awesome interns at SEHQ! Tiffany is a big fan of Taiwanese shaved ice with adzuki red beans, mung beans, peanuts and taro chunks. Warning: she will finish the entire bowl no matter how full she is. Get to know more about Tiffany!
Meet Amanda, another intern at Serious Eats world headquarters! She's an NYU students who hates mayo but loves Alton Brown.
Say hello to our new Serious Eats intern Paul! He's a cinematographer and blogger based in Brooklyn who admits to having a man crush on Paul Qui, the season 9 Top Chef winner, and to loving pigs in a blanket.
Time to say hello to one of our new fall interns at Serious Eats HQ! Rebecca's guilty pleasure? Watching Man vs. Food. "I love watching Adam Richman try to eat a six-pound burrito."
Time to meet another one of the Serious Eats interns at headquarters. Dana is an intern by day and restaurant hostess by night. Her favorite food? "Fried food! Especially chicken and okra." Say hello to Dana!
Time to meet a new Serious Eats intern! Hally hates salmon roe and loves Ina Garten. She's seen every episode of Ina's show and has read all of her books. "I'm going to be her for Halloween. We have similar hair."
Meet Dave, our talented photo intern. You've probably noticed his beautiful photos all over the site. Get to know the man behind the camera! For example, what does he eat when nobody's looking? Halal chicken and rice from the 53rd & 6th cart. (Ain't no shame, Dave.)
Time to say hello to another one of our awesome interns. Originally from Palo Alto, Gracie is a student at Duke and hanging with us at SEHQ in New York this summer. Her perfect meal? Something fried. Bacon. Avocado. Melted cheese. Sriracha. Runny egg yolk. Crusty sourdough bread. Butter. Molten dark chocolate.
It's time to say hello to another Serious Eats intern. Sam loves milkshakes; a Shake Shack Black and White would probably be his favorite, but Mr. Softee works in a pinch. He's also a little obsessed with Bacon, Egg and Cheese sandwiches. Get to know Sam!
It's time to meet another one of our stellar interns. Say hello to Niki! She knew she was a serious eater when she was about five years old and her mom took her to the oyster bar in Grand Central. "She told me I could try one to see if I liked it and to her surprise and amusement, I threw it back 'like a sailor' and politely asked for more."
It's time to say hey-llo to another Serious Eats intern. Meet Will! He loves his mama's home-cooked meals and has a guilty pleasure for McDonald's hashbrowns (shh, don't tell). He first realized he was a serious eater at age 12, when he was genuinely excited to receive a spray bottle of balsamic vinegar from his mom as a present.
