We saw many amazing pies entered in our Pi(e) Day Baking Challenge with Instructables this year, but it's time to raise our forks to the grandest of them all. Check out the winners of this year's contest! Special thanks to our prize partner King Arthur Flour, and to all of the pie-bakers who entered this year.

Pi Day is a day to honor 3.141592..., our friend π, and there's no better way to celebrate than by eating its homophone pie. We're teaming up with the crafty folks of Instructables again for another Pi Day Baking Challenge. All you have to do is bake a pie to enter to win an iPad (er, piPad) and many other great prizes!
It's that time of the year again. Pull out the butter and protractors because Pi Day is before us! Every March 14 we honor the math constant pi (3.14159..) with many slices of its delicious homophone pie. This year we're teaming up with the fun folks at Instructables to host the 2011 Pi Day Contest, which will run until March 20. Find out all the contest details here! First place pie will win an iPad engraved with the first 314 digits of pi—how sweet is that?!
The website Instructables is having a pizza contest: Pizza can mean something different to almost everyone. Here's your chance to share with the world your own unique take on the institution of pizza! We want your signature recipes for homemade crust, sauce, cheese, and toppings. Made your own wood-fired pizza oven? Show us! Discovered the perfect combination of ingredients? Share! Breakfast and dessert pizzas are more than welcome. Anything to do with pizza, we want to see it. First prize is a Super Peel; second prize is a mezzaluna pizza cutter. [via seemunkee]...
