Video: Disney-fied 'Family Guy' Sings About Pie

In the latest episode of Family Guy, Stewie and Brian randomly zap themselves to alternate universes, one of which is a perpetually jolly Disney-fied world where everyone has the ability to enter song and dance numbers without a hitch. And what's one of the jolliest topics of them all? Pie! "I want to hear more music about pie!" says Stewie. Don't we all. Watch the video after the jump....

Disney Eggs Are Completely Pointless But Kids Will Probably Want Them

Nothing is safe from Disney's grasp: Disney Farm Fresh Eggs are eggs with drawings of Disney characters' heads printed on them. That's it. Crack the egg and the Disney fun is gone, unless you have a Mickey-shaped egg mold, in which case you can use that to stretch the Disney theme and fry an egg that will barely resemble the plastic-looking one in the commercial. StitchKingdom.com points out that Japan has been sticking Mickey's head onto eggs for years, not that that makes it any less pointless. Not sure what the manufacturer's price is, but if you do find yourself addicted to eggs decorated with images of Mickey and friends, you can buy loads of coupons on eBay. Save...

For sale at Disneyland Tokyo, this product inspires jokes that probably aren't appropriate for the little ones there to see Mickey. [via Boing Boing]...

The original Chiquita Banana commercial produced by Disney in the 1940s pretty much sums up everything I know about bananas: they taste best when the skin has brown flecks, they go well in pie, and you shouldn't put them in the refrigerator. New things that I learned are that male bananas are normal sized and naked while female bananas are human sized, wear slinky skirts, and sing catchy educational songs about how to eat their kin. Watch the video after the jump....

'Ratatouille' Branded Wine

Disney’s consumer products division has to easily double the size of its creative department. In accordance with the studio's aim to squeeze every possible dollar out of a film, it will release wines based on the movie Ratatouille: "For the first time, Disney will offer red and white wines to complement the film's backdrop, a five-star Parisian restaurant, as well as cheese platters, both from Costco Wholesale Corp." Wine blogger Dr. Vino speculates that the whites will be Chardonnays from the Burgundy region of France. Something tells me that Thomas Keller’s palate (in use as consultant for the film) will not go into these mass-market wines. I may breach my no-Disney movie policy for this one, but I still don’t...
