Mo Rocca has a new show airing tonight at 8:30 p.m. on the Cooking Channel and it looks pretty promising. Called "My Grandmother's Ravioli," the show follows Rocca as he visits other peoples' grandparents in their kitchens, where they teach him how to cook their specialties. Sounds promising, right?
Ben Sargent is the kind of friendly, unassuming guy who'd invite you to his apartment for a small dinner party after meeting you for the first time. And it's the genuine kind of invitation, not the, "Yeah I'll see you around sometimeIguessmaybe" kind. But it wouldn't be just any dinner party; it would feature homemade lobster rolls and lobster bisque. Nor would it be just any apartment, but one with ukuleles on the walls, an aquarium full of colorful fish, and a ceiling lined with surfboards. He's now the host of the seafood-centric show Hook, Line & Dinner, whose season finale airs tonight at 10:30 p.m. ET on Cooking Channel. Learn more abut his speakeasy lobster roll joint, how his show developed, and what's next for Ben.
Yet another British import, Anand has been cooking Indian food professionally for years. Her main goal is to banish the stereotype that Indian food is hard to prepare. She says as much in the opening credits to her show: "For most people, [Indian food] is more likely to be a takeaway than homemade. In this series, I want to show you how easy it is to cook it for yourself." She also emphasizes making health-conscious dishes that can appeal to all audiences.
