The 50 Best Restaurants in the World, per S. Pellegrino

S. Pellegrino released its annual list of the world's 50 best restaurants last night in Paris. And it's a threepeat in a couple different ways: The top three, El Bulli (Spain), The Fat Duck (U.K.), and Pierre Gagnaire (France), haven't changed for the past three years. The complete list, after the jump....

Best Fro-Yo Shops in SoCali

Can fro-yo dialogue ever exist without a reference to Pinkberry anymore? There's more to swirly creaminess than the controversial Korean chain, especially in the fro-yo motherland of So-Cali. Here are my five top fro-yo shops without a Pinkberry in sight.

There's more to Phoenix than blindingly bright sunlight, flat, grid-like roads and an abundance of cacti—there's also lots of great food! With the help of some friends in Phoenix I made a list of recommended restaurants, bakeries, grocery stores and other eateries in the Phoenix area.

The Best Fast Food in the U.S.

Zagat recently released a series of lists ranking the nation's top fast-food picks, a survey done in conjunction with TV's Today show. Zagat readers and Today show viewers sorted their experience into four subcategories: food, facilities, service, and "overall." There are overarching categories for "Mega-Chains," "All Chains" (large and small), and "Full-Service Chains" (think Outback Steakhouse, which placed first overall, or Chili's or Olive Garden). Best fries are McDonald's, which, in my book, are the standard when it comes to fast food...

New York Magazine's Best Of 2007

New York Magazine's just released their Best Of listings for 2007 and as always the eating & drinking section is interesting reading. Some shoo-ins, some surprises, making it this a good but not earth-shatteringly great list of places to revist or try for the first time. Our Adam Kuban's already written about their 2001 burger picks over an A Hamburger Today, but I'm more interested in personally verifying their best places for Sunday Brunch....
