Target's Exclusive Ben & Jerry's Flavors: Berry Voluntary & Brownie Chew Gooder

Ben & Jerry's kicks off summer with two new flavors: Berry Voluntary and Brownie Chew Gooder, which you'll only find at another big-box retailer, Target. And if the names didn't give it away, this partnership helps foster volunteerism. You can visit Scoop It Forward to identify volunteering opportunities in your local community. We got our hands on a couple pints, and gave them a try. More

Irish Ice Cream Soda

Inspired by the knock-it-back-fast classic, the Irish Car Bomb, I came up with this beer float, using Guinness stout and Ben & Jerry's Dublin Mudslide. A marriage of alcohol and ice cream—what could be more delicious for St. Patrick's Day? More

Cherries for Change

As if the Democratic race couldn’t get any feistier, our favorite tie dye-sportin’, cow-milkin’ Ben & Jerry just got involved. They want Obama, and they've even created a “Cherries for Change” flavor in his honor. We ask—is it just Cherry Garcia with a label slapped over it? And how will lactose-intolerant voters react?... Häagen-Dazs vs. Ben & Jerry's: Which Are You Down With?

Häagen-Dazs vs. Ben & Jerry's—it's the ice cream battle of our time. It's like the Yankees vs. the Red Sox, Ali vs. Liston, or the Knicks vs. the Heat in the old days. There's plenty of bad blood—or should I say curdled cream?—between them. Older ice cream eaters might remember that in 1984 Häagen-Dazs tried to limit distribution of Ben & Jerry’s in Boston, prompting Ben & Jerry’s to file suit against Häagen-Dazs's parent company, Pillsbury, in its now famous “What’s the Doughboy Afraid Of?” campaign. Every ice cream lover I know chooses sides in this war, and make no mistake about it, this is a battle royale. Who you pick says a lot about who you are and... More

New from Ben & Jerry's: Willie Nelson's Country Peach Cobbler

You'd think Stephen Colbert would be a happy man in 2007 because Ben & Jerry's gave him his own ice cream flavor, Stephen Colbert's Americone Dream, but instead he's hopping mad—accusing country music legend Willie Nelson of stealing his time in the spotlight by launching his own Ben & Jerry's flavor. Called "Willie Nelson's Country Peach Cobbler," it's peach ice cream with cinnamon-sugar shortbread pieces. Rolling Stone's Irina Ageyeva talked to a Ben & Jerry's spokesman about Willie's new ice cream and asked how the company chooses whom to bestow custom flavors on. Apparently "artists are deemed flavor-worthy on the basis of their humanitarian efforts. The more do-good, environment-friendly, help-the-kids-in-Africa stuff you have on your resume, the better the... More

"The Sweet Taste of Liberty In Your Mouth"

Ben & Jerry's newest flavor: Stephen Colbert’s Americone Dream, vanilla ice cream with fudge-covered waffle cone pieces and caramel. "I’m not afraid to say it. Dessert has a well-known liberal agenda," Colbert said in a statement. "What I hope to do with this ice cream is bring some balance back to the freezer case."... More
