There are many reasons to visit Florida's Paradise Coast, from the stretches of white sand beaches to the tranquil spas and luxurious hotels. But the area isn't just a sunny vacation destination: It's also home to a vibrant restaurant scene, with kitchens turning out Southern comfort classics, international dishes, plates upon plates of locally caught seafood, and more. And there's no better time to experience it all for yourself than during Naples Restaurant Week.
This year's Naples Restaurant Week, hosted by The Food Idea Group, will take place June 1-14. (Okay, that's two weeks, but who's complaining?) During that time, locals and tourists alike can try some of the area's finest cuisine at great prices, with prix fixe meals from $25. Start with ahi tuna tartare from Sea Salt and house-made linguine with king crab at Campiello. Then dig into Spanish tapas from LaMoraga, fiery Indian at 21 Spices, or a perfectly seared steak from Shula's. Thirty-four restaurants have already been announced—and there are more to come.
Can't wait for June 1? The Naples Restaurant Week team is hosting a "First Bite" party on May 2 at the new Mercedes-Benz of Bonita Springs. This event, benefiting the Humane Society Naples, will allow the public to try tasty one-bite samples of what they can expect on Restaurant Week menus. While guests fill up on samples and drinks, they can also play with puppies and kittens from the Humane Society's "Paws on Wheels" RV.
After getting that "First Bite," there's no doubt you'll want to participate in Restaurant Week itself. And participating is simple: Check out your restaurant options here, choose one from the list, then make a reservation. Since its inaugural week a year and a half ago, this event has served over 29,000 hungry diners. Been coveting a seat at Bayside Seafood Grill & Bar, Cooper's Hawk Winery, The Continental, or any one of Naples' other top dining spots? Now's your chance to grab one.
