Pizza Hacks: DiGiorno Garlic and Balsamic Marinated Mushroom Pizza

Mushrooms are great on pizza. But marinated mushrooms? They're pure awesome. The flavor is a perfect complement to to new DESIGN A PIZZA kits from DiGiorno. The kitsbring true customization to the frozen pizza aisle with individually wrapped toppings to help create the perfect slice for everyone. In the time it takes to preheat your oven, you can whip up some quick and easy balsamic marinated portabella mushrooms and take your pizza to the next level.

You'll Need:

1 DiGiorno® DESIGN A PIZZA™ Kit: Chicken, Green Peppers & Red Onions with Pepperoni

1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil

2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

1 clove garlic, crushed

1 large portabella mushroom, coarsely chopped


In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar and garlic. Add portabella mushroom pieces and stir to cover mushrooms with marinade. Let marinade for 20 minutes.

Move the oven rack to the center position. Preheat oven to 400°F.

Remove DiGiorno pizza from clear plastic wrap. Discard all clear plastic wrap.

Remove toppings from clear plastic packets. Apply mozzarella cheese, chicken, peppers, red onionand pepperoni provided in the DESIGN A PIZZA kit, followed by the marinated mushrooms, in your very own custom style on the pizza! Finish with the provided seasoning, if desired.

Place pizza directly on center oven rack.

Bake 21 to 22 minutes or until cheese is melted and edges are golden brown on the most heavily topped potion of the pizza.

Let stand 5 minutes before enjoying!
