Apple Gingerbread Bars

Ingredients

  • 1 roll (30 oz) Pillsbury® Gingerbread Value Size cookie dough
  • 3 golden delicious apples, peeled, cored and diced
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp cold unsalted butter, cut into pieces

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Press 3/4 of the Gingerbread dough into the bottom of a 9x13-inch glass baking pan. Bake for 15 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, toss the apples with the sugar and cornstarch. Spread over the partially-cooked gingerbread. Crumble the remaining gingerbread on top and dot with butter.

  4. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bars comes out clean.

  5. Let cool completely before slicing into bars.
