In Videos: Chicken Fried Bacon
This video showing the chicken fried bacon available at Sodolak's Original Country Inn in Snook, Texas, has been around for a while, but when it first made the rounds it wasn't embeddable outside of YouTube. It looks like the author, Bob Phillips, has changed that. So here it is, after the jump, if you missed it.

If I ever get convicted of a capital crime I want my last meal to come from there.

Get Lost Mozarella Sticks! There's a new Sherif in town, and he comes with a side of gravy.

Was this the place they aired on the Food Network called "Deep Fried Food?"

There is a place Brenham, Tx -- just down the road and around the corner from Snook, that also does chicken fried bacon. Haven't tired it yet, don't know if i can bring myself do it.
If you ever happen to be in Snook go a little farther West on 60 from Sodolak's and stop in ">http://www.slovacek.com/site/index.php> Slovacek's. They are fronted by a (really nice) gas station but have a full meat counter inside. Armadillo eggs are great, the fresh Westphalia sausage is like none other around.

Because of this video, my roommate and I had to make a trip out there to try the bacon. It was fantastical, and the gravy matched up better than I had imagined. I think what blew us away more though was I paid 17.95 for a medium sized steak and found out it was freaking huge. It covered it's own dinner plate.... WAY over 32 ounces, probably around 40 ounces or thereabout. I would have been charged a heck of a lot more at other steak houses for it.
