Serious Eats Named One of Time Magazine's 50 Best Websites of 2008
This morning, time.com, Time magazine's website, named Serious Eats one of the 50 best websites of 2008, saying, "Whether or not you're a gastronome, reading about Rome's bountiful organic markets and the hearty hot dogs of Santiago, Chile, will surprise and delight you."
And the site takes note of the vibrant discussions happening on the Serious Eats Talk boards: "Entertaining and heated discussions flare up about the most mundane food-related minutiae: the best thing to eat when you're lunching at your office desk; the pros and cons of Ruth's Chris Steak House."
Thanks for the props, Time. We appreciate it. And thanks to everyone who reads and comments and talks on Serious Eats. This site wouldn't be as entertaining or as heated without you!

I'm fairly new still here, I've still got that 'new foodie' smell, but I like it here because people share my views on how annoying people on "certain TV shows" really are.
I'd also like to thank whoever it was that posted a couple weeks ago and mentioned the wondrous "Mr. Bento"... which I anxiously await to be delivered tomorrow after 2 weeks of agonizing waiting... I imagine my first day after packing it for work I'll say "I've never eaten so much in one day in my life".
I haven't really cannonballed into the deep end of the pool here, I'm still testing the waters and watching mostly, splashing in where I can.
if I yell "MARCO!!" can I get a "POLO!!"?
