Padma Lakshmi Developing New 'Cooking and Entertaining' Show
The Los Angeles Times profiles Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi, glossing over her past as a former model and actress who made the transition to cookbook author, and now as a judge on the popular Bravo TV series. She also drops the news that she's developing a new show where "a group of fun, eclectic people come over to her house for a dinner party; we watch her prep, get ready and guests arrive and eat; maybe someone plays music."

I'd rather stick needles in my eyes than watch "fun, eclectic people" watch Padma prep. She makes Tyra Banks look like a giant order of humble; I watch Top Chef in spite of, not because of, Padma.

*yawn* ZZZZzzz That sounds like one of the most uninteresting "reality" show ideas I think I've ever heard.

CBS is already doing this show -- it's called "Swingers."

Oh boy!
Let's watch Padma eat and be merry with her friends when the world is full of poor, starving and homeless children.
There are families torn apart from earthquakes, floods and fire. They live in chaos and don't have the luxury of entertaining people.
I will never watch her show.

Wow, people on this website get all huffy and pissy about the most inane things.
There's nothing wrong with Padma. She serves her purpose on Top Chef, and is reasonably good at what she does. No one will force you to watch her show. It's not like Top Chef changes lives either.
