I love the way that Danny's pudgy soup dumpling from Joe's Shanghai in New York City looks like it's trying to escape its spoon. I'm sure it was devoured not long after this photo was taken. In the battle between dumplings and humans, humans always win.

Joe's Shanghai...under happier circumstances I would have been there in a little over a week. At least the picture stirs my appetite (and long for some dumplings!) rather than get my goat. ;)

i don't know. i've felt the wrath of a soup dumpling's scorching broth. perhaps a shot to the eye? i think they could be evolving...

din tai fung dumpling house makes darn tasty dumplings as well... a well spent 45+ minutes in line... yum.

I don't know about the comment:

I've been bested many times by a soup dumpling scalding my entire mouth. Humans might always win the war, but not all the battles.
