The Today Show: Padma Lakshmi is a guest on a segment where she'll prepare a Mother's Day brunch. 7 a.m. ET, NBC
Shopping with Chefs: "Scallops, Grilling & Smoking, Home Brewed Beer." Chef David Myers takes us shopping for scallops and sauté pans. Chef Jill Davie shows us the latest in tongs. We also have a look at outdoor and indoor smokers and indoor grills. There's a trip to a micro-brewery and find out about home brew kits. 2 p.m. ET, Fine Living Network

Gourmet's Diary of a Foodie: "The Inventors." A former chief technology officer of Microsoft shows off his high-tech kitchen; in France, the man who coined the term "molecular gastronomy"; and in Chicago, an inventor's latest kitchen creations. 4 p.m. ET, PBS
Everyday Food: "Sandwiches." A hollowed out big round of bread stuffed with layers of roasted red peppers, salami, provolone cheese, and arugula; prosciutto and fig spread sandwich; spinach and artichoke wrap; barbecue pork sandwiches; and grilled cheese sandwich. 4:30 p.m. ET, PBS
The Best Recipes in the World With Mark Bittman: "Fast Food, Good Food." Bittman and chef Mario Batali have pizza bianca for breakfast in Rome.
