Photo of the Day: Mini Condiments
So this is what condiments look like during infancy. Aw.
Tina Wong (aka The Wandering Eater) came across these baby condiment jars while eating at The Little Owl in New York City.

I keep little jars in my picnic basket, ready to be filled with whatever. They're so cute! Sorry @ElDee, the only Chef I know cooks.
PerkyMac at 6:03PM on 04/29/08
Damn! If i had an actual Chef I wouldn't need so much ketchup:)

You can buy those at Cost Plus World Market. That is the best store for tiny items like that. I like to buy little bottles of wine and champagne. Great stocking stuffers!

At certain Asian markets, tiny bottles of Maggi soy sauce are available for purchase to join this mini condiment group

Call me crazy, but I love minature things. If I saw these in real life, I would pick it up, turn to my friend and say "Look, I'm a giant!" So we would call these "'I'm a giant' condiments."

The only thing cuter are the mini Tobasco bottles. Love them!

Well - since our favorite 32 oz. mayonnaise jar has now become 30 oz. for the same or higher price - can we expect to see this size at our regular market next?
judi0044 at 8:51PM on 04/29/08
@judi0044: 32g instead of 32oz for the same price in a bit, probably.

Haha. I have that same mini-ketchup sitting on my desk right now. Picked it up at a recent Sysco food show I attended with a friend.
I think they had miniature mustards too, but I didn't want to be greedy.

@bessfour: Sorry - Maille all the way for me. :-)

Aren't these the cutest little things? The only other little thing I can think of that's just as cute (NO NOT THAT!!) are mini-liquor bottles!!
RichardCrystal at 11:09AM on 04/30/08
I love mini sizes, but I can't help but think of the environmental impact. How often do you need a tiny jar of catsup?
