Trailer for 'The Adventures of Food Boy'

I so want the ability to summon bacon.

Starring Lucas Grabeel (from Disney's High School Musical), The Adventures of Food Boy is a soon-to-be-released teen comedy about a teenager who discovers he has the ability to make food appear in his hands. His grandmother's advice: "Not all superheroes fight crime." Instead of saving the world, he performs a magic act to try to impress the girls. That's so fetch.

Set to be released in 2008, the film is having its premiere in May at the Newport Beach Film Festival. Check the trailer out after the jump.

I wish Food Boy was on Match.com. I would make use of his special power.

@erin: something like this? FOOD BOY! MAKES ME SOME PANCAKES!

Hmmm, incredible poor timing with the press full of stories of people being killed in Haiti and other countries for want of even the barest staples...

Thanks, Debbie Downer. But I'm sure that the production company didn't have a crystal ball when they began production or set the premiere date. Besides, just think of what this boy (if real, obviously) could do for countries experiencing famine.

Excuse me, but I think I was using the FoodBoy name first. They have a lot of nerve.

OK is this a joke or a real movie? Can you imigine the meeting to come up with this idea!

They should follow food boy over the years and see how fat he gets from an endless choice of food - there could be promise for sequels already in the works... Maybe food boy could morph into Takeru Kobayashi and eat everything that appears in his hands! I love the comment - "just think of what this boy (if real, obviously) could do for countries experiencing famine". It is funny we are even wasting this much comment on some lame Disney movie....
