PrintIn Videos: Dr Pepper Commercial (1960s)
Even though I think this commercial could be edited down by 30 seconds, I'm strangely drawn to it. I like the catchiness of the song; the cheeriness throws me off. All I can think is, "People are definitely not that happy when they drink Dr Pepper." But then again, I've never seen a naturally occurring group of young, carefree Dr Pepper drinkers frolicking on the beach and eating hot dogs; maybe they are that happy.

Obviously, you do not drink Dr Pepper, Robyn. And, if you do, then you're not drinking it properly -- at 10 a.m., 2 p.m., and 4 p.m. (Hence the 10, 2, 4 on the label.)

Oh yeah. I keep forgetting that the rest of the country drinks stuff besides water.
If I could, I might be tempted to drink Orangina three times a day, but that's it.

I was in heaven after discovering caffeine-free diet Dr. Pepper during my gestational-diabetes-plagued-pregnancy. I am definitely a PEPPER.

My guess is this commercial was based on the "Annette Funicello/Frankie Avalon" Beach Blanket movies.
I am definately not a Pepper. Don't care for the stuff at all.

I go to Sonic Drive-In (I am a Sonic Drive-in crushed ice fanatic) every morning at a few minutes before 10 am (Large Sonic drinks are 99 cents before 10) and get a Large Dr. Pepper.
Some people go to Starbucks, I go t to Sonic.
I don't eat before then so it is technically breakfast.

eatorama: That's funny. My sister manages a Sonic, and she says the drink special that you're talking about is HUGELY popular. I don't remember if her Sonic has Dr Pepper, though.
