PrintHäagen-Dazs Flavor Preview Giveaway
We've got something sweet for six lucky Serious Eaters this week. The folks at Häagen-Dazs headquarters have given us a flavor preview package of their new Reserve flavors. But it doesn't end there. We in turn have six flavor preview packages to pass along to you. And because the Häagen-Dazs folks are willing to share the wealth, each of those six Serious Eaters will be able designate three friends to receive their own shipments of the Reserve flavors. Think of it as a the Häagen-Dazs Reserve Chain Letter, only it's a box of ice cream instead.
The preview includes flavors from the Häagen-Dazs Reserve Series, with ingredients like French sea salt and Mediterranean pomegranates. There are also ice cream products that support the Häagen-Dazs Loves Honey Bees campaign, a program focused on helping fund research to protect these disappearing pollinators.
How to Win
The six packages will go to the six separate folks who make our favorite comments this week. We'll be watching comments on all posts on Serious Eats and in the Talk section for insightful, funny, and useful comments. Our six favorite comments and/or Talk topics this week will get the packages. (And, sorry, it's only open to U.S. residents.)

Has anyone tried the Hawaiian Lehua Honey & Sweet Cream flavor? I'm not usually a fan of honey or sweet cream, but this was so delicious!

bitchincamero... I've tried the Hawaiin Lehua Honey flavor...and I agree, it was very very tasty.
I actually just got back from the store and found that a pint of the Vanilla Honey Bee had found it's way into my cart... I can't wait to try it.

I've already written a love letter to the fleur de sel caramel ice cream. I've been averaging about a pint a week of this ice cream and want to share my love to ensure that Haagen Dazs doesn't stop making it.

I was lucky enough to receive one of these packages and I have to say the new flavors are pretty yummy. I'm not a huge fan of the frozen yogurt, but I keep eating it because I like the granola in it.
Also, how fun is it to receive ice cream in the mail?!?

I know where the honey bees are, they're in my yard! They love the lilac bushes, and the purple sage, especially mid-afternoon when it is very sunny. They also enjoy the hummingbird feeder, the nectar is nice and sweet. They probably would enjoy a couple of scoops of Haagen-Dazs which I promise to share if I win!

I recently got a divorce from my roommates Ben & Jerry, but now I want to reconcile with Haagen and Dasz. Who cares if summer is coming and it will be time to stuff myself into a bathing suit?

I remember an ad on craigslist that a 'photographer' had posted seeking 'models' who wanted to appear in a tub full of ice cream, at his house, phone immediately. I'm sure he'd enjoy this ice cream, but I'd like it more.

They just had an excellent sale on all of the Haagen-Dazs pints, including Reserve, by me lately so, being a college student, I stocked up like there was no tomorrow.
Of course, I was a bit boring and grabbed a Mint Chocolate Chip because, well, old habits die hard. I did end up with Pomegranate Chip, though, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Well worth entering the contest just for one of those alone!
Guess I'll have to pick up some tonight, sans deals. It'll be worth it, though.

I have a pint or two of Haagen EVERY week without fail .......and without my doctor knowing . I always feign surprise at the extra pounds . So I can't WAIT to try these new flavors .

The Fleur de Del caramel ice cream is so crazy delish that I can't imagine eating any other ice cream any more. I stared at the pomegranate chip and thought, ah, another time. Salted caramel? Little puffs of chocolate with caramel inside? It is fabulous! Oh and it's lunch time, perhaps I can sneek a spoon full in right now..... The Toasted Coconut Brittle with Sesame is great too, I am not sure how long that has been around, at least a couple of months. There is no topping the Fleur de Sel Caramel though. The one negative thing I can say (I am eating a bite right now - jealous?) is that it has 3 different levels of corn syrup in it and I am making an effort to rid my life of corn syrup. Exceptions will be made with this ice cream, I am only so strong! All the other pints in my freezer will have to deal with ice crystals from neglect. Put the spoon down and walk away!

I know you're busy but give me a second... Oh man this is embarrassing. Right now there is a Spanish speaking midget in my room that is threatening me with wet willies unless I give him ice cream. Please... if you have ever had to endure wet willies during your childhood... think about helping me. Don't do it for me... do it for the ears of children everywhere.

Woo hoo! We've been chocolate fiends this spring at our house - we'd doubtless and happily develop another "bad" habit if we won this prize - and, here's a bribe: a new flavor suggestion. I make my own thai peanut sauce, and have been craving it lately, seasoned with five spice powder, on ice cream - have yet to try it, but know it would be great - maybe even with a bit of coconut milk worked in - hows about five spice thai peanut sauce icecream? Yummmmmm!

Melissa, my name, is Greek for Honey Bee, so I feel a deep connection to the poor honey bees suffering from Colony Collapse Disorder.
