Travel around the world to take a look at sustainable fishing this Sunday on Gourmet's Diary of a Foodie. First, it's fishing in the Long Island Sound in New York with chef David Pasternack. Then it's on to New Zealand where a fisherman limits his catch of abalone to guarantee its survival. After that, it's on to Italy where a traditional fisherman is changing his ways to help make sure there will be seafood left in the future. Sunday, 4 p.m. ET, PBS

Jamie at Home: "Peppers & Chilies." It's spicy food this episode as Jamie makes spicy pork goulash; roasted peppers stuffed with chili, tomatoes, and fresh herbs; and smoked salmon with fresh, zingy salsa. (repeat) 9:30 a.m. ET, Food Network

Gourmet's Diary of a Foodie: "The Anglers." A look at the fishing industry from the point of view of some of the world's best seafood chefs and most forward thinking fishermen. Also learn about the latest in sustainable fishing practices and what to look for when you buy seafood. 4 p.m. ET, PBS

Everyday Food: "Say Cheese." Chicken breasts stuffed with cheese, tomato, and basil; manchego cheese in a panini with juicy ham; egg-white omelet with goat cheese; ricotta manicotti with tomato sauce; and cheddar cheese-carrot balls. 4:30 p.m. ET, PBS

The Best Recipes in the World With Mark Bittman: "On the Hoof." This episode features an American rancher raising cattle via traditional methods, Chiannini cattle in the Maremma region of Tuscany, and competing recipes for steak á la fiorentina by Mark and Mario Batali. (repeat) 5 p.m. ET, PBS

Lidia's Italy: "Maremma Chard Pillows." Lidia makes tortelli filled with chicken liver, spinach, and ricotta; and sage pudding. 5:30 p.m. ET, PBS

I have been DVRing all of these shows to watch them during the week when prime time TV is intolerable. I especially love Jamie at Home and Everyday Food.
